You can "suspect" all you want about what was happening but you have no clue (neither does anyone else here - we weren't there)!! What we do know is the poor sport UofA guy physically attacked someone else. Words are words but when you stoop so low as to put your hands (feet) on someone else then you are pitiful!
I love how you can talk trash all day about ASU but when your beloved kitties get thier ass whooped and someone makes a joke you get all butt hurt!!

Apparently Chuck Norris is a University of Arizona fan. That dude is awesome. I'm pretty sure that little fat punk will think twice before he mouths off again to a Wildcat.
Seriously though, I have been to football games at both places. BOTH home teams are extremely rude, crude and obnoxious to the visiting AZ team. I wouldn't even take my boy to a U of A vs ASU football game until he was 14 years old, just for that reason. The home team has the gang mentality. Plenty of blame to go around, as far as sore losers. Personally, I have been in Tempe for both football and basketball games where Sun Devils would cuss you out for no reason. Low class as well.
I think it's safe to assume that the student was mouthing off. I'm pretty sure he swallowed a few chiclets. Violence is not the answer, but that old dude was ready to take on every one of those kids.
Mike, I took Smitty's comments as just a joke. I would have been flattered. We all know you are not afraid to kick a little Sun Devil a$$.

BTW Smitty, in case you missed it, I gave Kudos to ASU on the win and said they had a good team (another thread). So I don't get where you are saying I'm trash talking.
Seeing the ASU fan, before the kick, you just have to KNOW that he was in the guys face all game. And yes, it happens at both schools. One reason I wouldn't go to a game at SDS.
Dan, that guy is no Chuck Norris. He didn't even break the guys nose.

Dan, like you, I have been to games at both places & seen exactly what you have mentioned by both teams & both sets of fans.
There are always people who just think they are the Shit and don't know how to enjoy an event without causing trouble.
Mike, if you ever do want to come to a game, rest assured that our group always watches out for each other, no matter who you are a fan of. Yes, there is plenty of laughter & smack talking, but we are all hugging and having a great time enjoying it the way it should be enjoyed. Talk to any of our UofA friends & fans who come to our events, they are a blast. Hopefully one of these years you will come & get a chance to enjoy it. Heck, half the time, we never even make it into the game. This year, we stayed at the Tailgate party & listened to it on the Radio.
