Found this interesting tonight.

Not very often do I think these kids should forgo their college experience, but look what happened with Leinert.

Jake Locker has been pegged as the potential #1 Draft pick.  What else can he accomplish by staying at Washington.  I think he is making a HUGE mistake and it might cost him a fortune in the future.

Thoughts??

Is this groundhog day? Did anyone learn from what happened to Bradford this year? He would have gone #1. Hopefully the dude is ok. I'd love to see him with my Skins next year.

That is so risky. If he gets hurt he may never get the chance to play in the NFL. I think if you are going to go in the first round you should go into the draft. Go get that money!! ;D ;D

It's BRILLIIANT!!! If he gets hurt his dad has an insurance policy in the making...even though Jake says he supposedly doesn't want it. He'll make plenty off that if an injury happens. You've got to be crazy to try the draft with Tebow, McCoy, Bradford, Clausen(irish), Snead, Robinson (okie st.) and the kid from Central Michigan. He's staying for the exact same reason Sanchez (USC) went last year. Make yourself standout. Sure Mel Kyper and everyone else loves him but where was he Heisman time? Everyone talks about Bradford getting hurt but he'll still get his contract. I think it comes down to Locker thinking his team will make a statement next year...and I do too.

I don't know, even with all those other names in the draft, he was predicted to go ahead of all of them.  With that kind of potential, I think staying is a mistake.  There is no insurance policy that will be worthy of a 1st or 2nd pick over time.  Yes, up front, possibly a few million, but over the years, I doubt it...

I 100% agree with Cornbred.  Lot of QB's coming out in this year's draft.  Locker does have a lot to prove to not only his team, but to himself as well.  It could be a disaster move, but it could be the best decision he ever made.

Time will tell.

Hey, I'm all for these kids staying in school.  I just think that with a top 3 projection in the draft, he isn't going to get much better than that.  Why chance it..

That's all I'm saying.

Top 3 money is major pay day.  Look at what Leinert lost by not coming out.

I don't think he wants "Maybe a top 3 pick". The quarterback lineup next year is weak compared to this year and there is no way in He!! two D-tackles will be going ahead of him next year. Suh from nebraska and McCoy from Oklahoma go in front of him this year...bet the farm on that. Next year Keenum, Stanzi, and Kaepernick are his QB competition... who has heard of these guys? Snead won't create as much competition next year. 99% of people who read this will have to look up those names. ndamukong suh was a nobody last year unless you were from nebraska or an avid avid college fan and look at what sticking around did for him. ;D sounds like this kid is a competitor. he wants to prove something next year from everything I hear and read. :P who knows maybe y'all are right. His major down fall is he plays for Washington in the Pack-10...which never gets respect.

Insert foot in mouth now! Locker should have went to the NFL last year. Washington is horrible!
