Hoping work schedule will allow me to make a trip to the valley soon. I am in need of cooking sticks now.

Thomas, looks great, I love it...

Your logo is fantastic.

I didn't know you had a North side yard, I will have to go check it out, I drive past that one almost daily.

Let me know if you do a links page, I would love to have AZBarbeque on it...

Hi Mike,
email me about the 2 cord order at: thomas@deru.com
The one type that is getting low is the Pistachio, I would get a little of that before we're out! Who knows if I'll ever find any more of it???? ???

This is a great thread.  I have been getting my wood from BBQs Galore, and they are rather expensive and the wood sometimes comes with a lot of bark on it.  I will be buying from here from now on.

I'd like to take a moment to compliment Thomas on running a great business.  I've been there on three or four separate occasions, the most recent being just last Thursday.  He always makes time to talk about what he has on hand, what might be in short supply and has always been willing to share his experiences with the different types of wood.

During my last visit we talked about El Diablo lump charcoal and I mentioned that I was not having good experiences with it.  He made a few suggestions including adding some well aged grape wood, (which he had in ample supply, already bagged and tied), and letting it burn down as part of the coal base.  I tried his suggestion and the grape wood out today and he was spot on correct on what a big difference it makes.

If you've never been to Berry Bros. you're missing the boat on all things wood.  I wonder what I'll end up buying the next time I'm there...

Thank you VisionQuest220, I am humbled!
I'm glad to hear the Grape worked for you, unfortunately one of our forumites has all but cleaned me out of the supply I had on hand!!!!
You also gave me a great tip to pass along to others here on the forum....American Charcoal sells the El Diablo to Costco Business center on 3801 N. 33rd Avenue and they sell it cheaper than American Charcoal......$9.99 per 40 lbs Sack!!!! I just called to confirm this, and yes, it's true and yes, they stock it as we speak!
Thank you all for the great feedback and your much valued patronage!
