I live pretty far from there but if that's my only local options then it is what it is, paid 30$ for a bag of hickory at BBQ island seemed high. Im pretty new to purchasing wood but Ill go there if that's a common

Hickory is crazy expensive out here. Wood in general is expensive here. I might also recommend Paul Bunyans. I use them for the restaurant and have always been happy with the product.

I'll be checking out Chandler Firewood for the Labor Day cook. $35 for a wheelbarrow of oak and $40 for a wheelbarrow of Pecan. He said they were generous loads.

Right on thanks guys! I will look into it... Where I am there's more mesquite than I know what to do with, but its a little to heavy for pork products in my opinion! Thx again
