Thanks for the info guys. I ended up using pecan with some hickory on the butt. It was pretty good, I would have liked to have kept in on the pit for a few more hours but time ran out on me
. I then was able to get to Bass pro this morning and picked up some apple and maple for the ribs. If you haven't tried that mix, try it. It makes the best ribs I've ever done. I wanted to take pics but we had hungrey guests who didn't want to wait, sorry.
