I thought I would post this for those that like the Rancher Briqs.  I was at the TJ's by Arrowhead Mall (Bell and 76 ave or so) and they have a couple pallets of Rancher's for 6.99 for 18 lbs.

Just an FYI.

Vince bought a couple pallets a year or two ago, when Home depot had them for 2 or 3 bucks a bag.  He has been using and winning with it since.

I personally do not like it, but my cookers like lump better.

Wow, I guess inquiring minds want to know!

I have been using Kingsford for the better part of a year now.  Rancher worked well on most stuff but not everything.  You'll have to see if you like it for your style of cooking.  When it became obvious that supply was going to be a major issue I decided to not get attached to that brand and to use something that I could easily obtain anywhere I happened to be.  I've never liked the way Kingsford smells when it is igniting but I haven't seen any end result impact on the food so that made my decision easy.

I read about the group buy you guys are working on in Utah and I hope it goes well for you.

Jim, I have plenty of sauce but, as is always the case, "no sauce for you"!  I will, however, pay cold hard cash for that bottle of "sauce" you picked up for me.  I think we might even have to track more down while we're in Pueblo!  Also, we're in for 1/3 of a toilet.  Talk about living high on the hog!

Yeah, Jim, we've got a room at the Quality Inn on Outlook Blvd.  I'm not sure how far that is from the venue at the moment but I'll look it up sooner or later.  Looking forward to joining the gang in the NM lot.  Our Arizona flag will be flying!

Ahh kingsford is the secret, huh? I have stayed away from kingsford, because I am not sure what goes in it now. I know that the formula has changed over the years and far from the the orignal formula...I think EPA had something to do with that. Henry Ford originally was using basically sawdust and ground up tires to make the briquettes. Some reason knowing the history...Kingsford still smells like burning tires to me.
