Has anyone ever tried this Afire Koko Coconut Charcoal?  /www.williams-sonoma.com

Yes. Not that brand, but coconut charcoal that looked much like it. The Kamado Company used to sell it and I shared a pallet of it. It doesn't impart any discernible flavor. I remember seeing a demonstration of one briquette flaming atop an electrical burner. It glows like steel pulled from a blacksmith's forge and leaves very little ashes. My team used to use it in competition and a couple of boxes would last us through the night.
