Title: Frontier Hickory Charcoal
Post by: Mark on September 17, 2011, 02:45:01 pm
I was at Grocery Outlet today and came across Frontier hickory briquets. It was a heckuva deal @ $2.49/8.5 lbs and $4.99/17 lbs. Anybody ever try this stuff?

Mark, were you at Bell and 43rd today? And you didn't come 2 miles south, to visit Out Of The Pan? I'm hurt!
I was there yesterday, and I axed about charcoal, and didn't walk over to check it out...I'd have bought some, darnit! They have amazing cheeses there.

Kitch, I would have, but I just had a little time to kill while my kid was in karate. Grocery Outlet is a kick, ain't it? A great place for cheese, sausage and wine. For those who haven't been, its worth checking out. In AZ, there's only the one in Glendale and one on Speedway in Tucson. Tons of gourmet stuff and factory closeouts. Nothing is outdated nor distressed. For instance, they buy out entire inventories of struggling wineries and sell bottles for half of what you'd pay elsewhere. Cheap bulk spices, too. But I had never seen charcoal there before yesterday.
