Anyone have a good source for drums with removable lid and no plastic lining in it?

Sunwest Containers is where I have bought 3 drums.  I think it was $58 for a new unlined 55 gallon drum with a bung hole.  Be sure to get the bung lid.

Here's the info:

Yup, i've purchased 2 drums thru their Tucson office. SW container is the way to go. I've purchased one bung lid and one non-bung lid. Depending on your ventialtion plan, either may work, but they are the best and cheapest you'll find. The paint also seems to stay on, unless to get a roaring fire.  I don't do real hot burns, so as long as i'm just smoking, they look just fine!

Keep us updated on your UDS build, we love to see'em here!

I've pruchased 4 new drums from them as well.  Averages about $50.00 drum with non-bung lid.

Personally, I don't know why anyone would buy a used drum and go through all the prep, etc. when a new drum is so cheap.  New is the way to go IMO.

I agree.  Hmmmm.....burn out who knows what, take a wire brush to anything that didn't burn out, and then still have an ugly drum with horrible paint and possibly some rust and dings all to save $25 - $30 is crazy.
