You are going to love the UDS. it will keep burning for hours. Your next thing to buy is a weed burner makes life easier to start that UDS

I just heard about the weed burner thing a couple weeks ago. To think I had one in my shed collecting dust all along. Now I just need some instruction. Do you start somehow in the chimney, or start in the fire box?

Start in the firebox.  Hold my burner in each corner for about 20 second and once in the middle, i leave the top off until it gets going a little.  Then cover and dial in the temp.

Two great ways to start your fire...

Use turkey fryer base and chimney..

Or weed burner directly on charcoal in UDS or other basket..

The torch Quiggs showed is great, but I something think too much power and you have to lug a big propane tank around.

I like the Bernz-o-matic cane style, that you use one of those camping propane bottles.  I got mine at ACE, but I think Lowes, Home Depot ect carries it.
