Plus Dickies will open I think at least 4 in the next couple years..

As we have seen over the years though 3 open up and 2 close and the cycle repeats. There are about 10 bbq places just over the past 7-9 years that I know of that have closed up.
-
There is always room for good BBQ places. Too bad most are not that good.

True Dave! I went to Hog Wild last week and was less than impressed. I'm surprised Dickey's is looking at opening more locations. The one by me on Shea and Scottsdale closed a couple months ago.

Hey Smitty, Supposedly from what I've heard is that the Dickey's over off of Scottsdale & Shea decided to move to a large facility. They are going to be opening on the opposite corner in the Safeway Plaza. I haven't seen anything posted on this, but that's what I was told.
Also, Brady is opening another Porkopolis over on the South West corner of Shea & Scottsdale.
Lots of BBQ Restaurants & Food Trucks popping up. Glad there are a lot of Hungry people who enjoy BBQ.
Now Smitty, When is your new Restaurant opening??

I just saw that Dickey's opened on the NE corner of Tatum & Cactus at the easternmost end. (I think it may be at the old location of Genghis Grill.) Sprout's and CVS are the anchors of the property. The parking at their old location on Shea & 74th sucked.

Maybe they decided to move there instead of the Safeway plaza. That would make more sense for them.

Mike - The Park Downtown will be opening hopefully mid October. They are trying to get it ready before basketball season starts. It will be in the former Stoudemire's location right next to Hard Rock Cafe. The menu will consist of all local food trucks and caterers. I have been working with the executive chef there to build the menu. It is going to be a huge venue with live bands, Pedal Haus beer and serve yourself beer taps. Can't wait to see how it all progresses in the next month!
