New!
Went to Black's BBQ today. What a great experience it was. Almost makes you feel like you're walking into Cheers and your name is Norm. Ordered the brisket and homemade sausage, they were great. The brisket had a light bark, and was sliced between 1/4 and 3/8 inch thick. When you pick it up it had a slight droop, and with slight pressure, it pulled apart. Ate the entire meal with my fingers. What a wonderful treat. While I was eating, Kent Black, third generation pit master, came out and introduced himself. We talked for a few minutes and I asked if I could take some pictures after I ate. He said no problem and told me to come get him after I ate, and he would give me the tour of the whole place. He took me through the entire place, and we talked BBQ for a good hour, he didn't give up any secrets though. Told him about our group, and maybe we'll see him as a member. If you're within a 100 miles of Lockhart, TX. You need to go here.

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!
