Lee and I have tried Tom's BBQ. I have to be honest: The taste wasn't bad, but the portions were small and the prices were big for what you got. We went for lunch, We finished all what was on our paper plate and it cost us over $40 (and there was no beer involved). We then left hungry. My daughter got a hot dog kids meal and I think it was about 6 bucks. This included a hot dog with a bun and a tiny bag of potato chips on the side! The drink was extra. :-\  Of course, this was when they were in Fountain Hills. They have since closed their Fountain Hills location. It may be different now in their other locations. Personally, I'd avoid them. There are 100 places I'd rather go.

OMG, I just realized that the owner could be a member of this site. I hope I am not offending anyone with my comment. I am just being honest. I hope that is appreciated.

This is what the site is for, honest opinions of the local BBQ Flavor, so don't be sorry.  As far as I know, the owner is not a member of the site, I wish they were, we would love to have more of the BBQ Restuarants on here and helping to promote BBQ in AZ.

phew!  ;D Ya never know; it could just be the Fountain Hills location too. They jack the prices up in Fountain Hills; it is hard to find any decent food that costs less than $25 per plate! I think there FH location was too slow, that is why they closed it.

The Tom's at Baseline just east of Mill is not bad and we eat there once a month or so.  I don't like Honey Bears and sometimes I just can't get myself to drive up to see Ivan, so Tom's is where we go.  Doesn't hurt that it's only a mile from our house.

Haven't noticed a pricing issue since I feel like I'm getting screwed no matter where I eat Q unless we're up at Ivans.  No offense to any of the west valley joints as we don't get out there much.
