More of a Texan/Southern Home cooking venue with live music than a traditional bbq joint. They do offer bbq though. We finally went for a Sunday gospel brunch. They had a buffet or you could order off the menu. The buffet was migas, cheesy grits, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, french toast, omelet station, beans and some fruit. Some of the food was ok, other parts bland....we we're able to sit in the room with the small stage were the performance was. Jon Emery played with a couple buddies of his...strangely Jon Emery looked an awful like Thom Emery..anyway. They did a set of willie, merle, hank sr,etc...this was no jam session and hoping the patrons liked it. They played like they we're playing for a stadium crowd...which these gents have. They really raised the roof on the joint. Let me put it this way..the kitchen could have been serving rat droppings and still couldn't have had a better time. If you are coming through Austin...check out the music schedule. It is worth the visit just for the atmosphere and the music.
