Title: Show Low BBQ

Heading up to Show Low this weekend. I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is anyplace up there to get decent BBQ. I'm always looking for new places to try.

We ate at Stolen Recipe last year and it was actually decent Que, especially the brisket.  It's in P-Top and not Show Low though.

Ther is BBQ place next to the KFC, but I have not tried it yet.

Don't bother with the Waldo's behind the KFC in show low, or grumpy jakes in wagon wheel. Grumpy jakes was a nice atmosphere and and freindly enough staff, but the food was awful. We got a sampler of most of the menui between four of us. The rack of spares we're the first rime i have seen true baby backs served. I mean they must have been from a weenling pig...guessin 1 and down ribs. The chicken brisket and pork looked like they were chopped in a food processor. No smoke or rub flavor. just lots of salt. Even without a blindfold I couldn't tell one meat from the other. only flavor was salt. The sides were all bland and under cooked. crunchy potatoes gratin and beans. even the beer was stale and metallic tasting.  stick with stolen recipes. It's just past blue ridge HS going to pinetop on the left side about 1/4 mile past the HS.
