I stumbled across this site from an article about Memphis. This is the city's most celebrated rib joint, where they broil their ribs and dust 'em again with dry rub before serving.

That is an awesome BBQ joint.  I have been there.  If you ever make it to Memphis it is a must do.

Never been there, but hit Leonards on a Saturday, that's buffet day, everything they got is out for one price.  I recommend it, try the smoked spaghetti!

I was born in Memphis but have never been there. We moved away when I was young. Everytime there is a BBQ show on the Travel Channel / Food Network they always show Rendezvous. I have heard great things about it from family members who have been. If I ever make it to Memphis - I will definitely go there.

I bought their rub at an airport gift shop, but that is as close as I've gotten to experiencing Rendezvous. I do remember it specifically tasting of celery salt.

Hey! I just searched the Web and found the recipe:

Rendezvous Seasoning Rub Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 cup salt
1/4 cup pepper
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp oregano
1 Tbsp celery seed
1 Tbsp paprika
1 Tbsp chile powder

Directions
Combine ingredients and set-aside.
