There is a very fresh trend in foodie circles where they basically utilize a breakfast/lunch spot and turn it into a fine gourmet dinner event for just a night or two. Foodies pack the place by word of mouth. "Ludobites" in LA is just one such example.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOkT2RhCwFcIt does beg the question if a BBQ "happening" could ever occur. Here's an example. Say, Paul Kirk is buddies with Aaron May of "Over Easy". Word gets out that this famous BBQ chef from KC is having a BBQ feast next Friday night at Aaron's famed breakfast joint, but there is only room for 100 diners and you've got to reserve your seat now. Something to ponder.
