My oldest daughter and I stopped by Memphis Best BBQ today. This was the first time that I had set foot into their establishment (we have had takeout from them once before and it was pretty good). Since we were running a bit short on time and since it was 3pm, I just got a small drink and small fries for the kiddo. I managed to wrestle a few fries from my daughter and I can honestly say that they were just about the best that I have ever had...very seriously! Crispy fries rock! We didnt get to try any Q, but it did smell great in there.
One thing that I noted was that the small dining area was very clean, very well laid out and could seat about 25 people. Not bad at all for a small operation. Darrell (owner) seems like he has made it a priority to make it a very comfortable environment. There were a lot of pictures/plaques/autographed pictures that neatly decorated the interior. The cherry wood tables and chairs complimented the additional dual-seated bar tables that made up the seating area. I was also able to peek into the kitchen area and it looks like they have some top quality equipment.
Another thing that really impressed me was that Darrell actually pulled up a chair to one of his customer's table (not ours, he was busy) and actually had a good, solid conversation with them. That down-home flair makes me think that Memphis Best BBQ will gain a long-standing hold within the Buckeye community.
All for now!
