Title: Lucky's BBQ
Post by: Jackkyl on September 14, 2012, 08:32:55 pm
Hey fellas,

If you ever find yourself up here in Dewey check out Lucky's BBQ. We just got back from dinner there and it was good!  I had to get the bib plate, straight up pulled pork and brisket.  The pork was great but the brisket...oh man, I could spread the meat, it was so tender.  Good full smoke flavor, nice herby rub...mmmboy.  They have four sauces, all made in the restaurant.  Each was tasty.  Anyway, I had to tell you guys bout it.

Lucky's is on Highway 69, right side if you are heading into Prescott Valley, across the street from Texaco.  I recommend the chow for a good full BBQ dinner out!  No beer or booze, but you won't miss it with them eats!

A BIG +1 on Luckys. Since moving to Chino from Florida about 10 years ago Ive tried several BBQ joints here in Az. The BBQ Ive had to  this point was " edible "...Thats about the best I could say about it. Until now. Luckys by far is the best BBQ Ive had since leaving the South.
They serve the meat "dry" ( as it should be ) sauce is on the table. I hate places that serve you meat swimming in sauce. To me that means they either think their sauce is better than their meat,or their meat is so tasteless they have to drown it in sauce to have some kind of flavor. All 4 sauces are homemade and all 4 are delicious.
As mentioned above , the brisket is out of this world. Thick sliced but tender enough to cut with your fork. Fall off the bone ribs and a very decent pulled pork. Their sausage could use an upgrade. Its the only menu item Ive tried that I wasnt impressed with. Portions and price very fair. If youre coming to the area Luckys is worth the stop.
Sadly, Big Daddy E's in Chino Valley is to be avoided however. Just awful...
