I've eaten at Neely's place in Memphis, food is excellent. But the best french fries has to be Arthur Bryant's in Kansas City. Original location, 17th and Brooklyn Ave. Fresh cut potatoes fried in laird. None better. Your heart specialist best friend.

Yes, I believe that Darryl is the nephew of Jim Neely.  Damn good BBQ family right there.

If I'm not mistaken, Jim Neely's mother has a BBQ joint in L.A.(not lower Alabama). The food is reportly very good.

Yes, I remember Fieri talking to her about Jim's place and Neelys BBQ--another relative. I don't remember if it's Jim's mother, or another branch of the fam. tree. If I hit the lottery (fat chance) I'm gonna buy a '67 GTO and do a DDD tour. Yes, I know he has a Camaro. I just like GTOs.

What is a "BBQ Crawl"?

BBQ Crawls is similar to Pub Crawls.

We get a bunch of us from AZBarbeque to meet up and visit a few BBQ Restaurants in the same day, try out their food, have some fun, meet and socialize with each other, then come back online here and write up reviews.

Most times the BBQ Restaurants do up a special pricing or menu for us and also donate some merchandise or gift cards for us to use for door prize raffles.

They are pretty fun.  Last one I think we had 60 member show up.

I stopped in and tried talking to him briefly about a year ago.  Either he didnt seem overly interested or he was just really focussed on work.  We'll stop in and see what he says.
