Dillon's in the northwest valley.

Also there's a place called Benny's Burgers on 99th Avenue and Bell.   I've driven by there everyday for two years but never knew they sold bbq until Laura and I stopped by the kitchen store next door a couple weeks ago.    We decided to spit a burger and went to Benny's.  I was surprised to discover that they have ribs, brisket and pulled pork on the menu.    We didn't try the bbq, but the burger and fries were very good.  It didn't smell like a BBQ joint, so I suspect the Q might be cooked off site.   Anyone ever tried Benny's?

Don't forget Bryan's Black Mountain BBQ up in Cave Creek.

I also saw one the other day called "Notorious PIG" on 32nd Street just south of Friess.  Anybody know what this is?

Notorious PIG is relatively new. Used to be an italian restaurant. Stopped in today and gave them an AZBBQ card. I'll be eating there soon, for sure. I'll report back then.

Yea, Bryan's Black Mountain BBQ is great.  They donated some really cool items for the Holiday Party Raffle and are really great people.

Make sure to stop in there and let them know you are an AZBarbeque member.

I'm tossing my card into Stacey's hat--last time I was there they had to use the jaws of life to pry me out of the door.  Sauce was good, the smoke on the meat was excellent--beautiful bark and smoke rings.  Baby backs were great.  In fact, the only critique that I'd offer is that the baby backs were almost cooked too much.  Sweet tea was superb and I ate my weight in corn muffins.  Atmosphere was what I'd hoped for--down and dirty, but super clean.

Just featured Memphis Best on Fox local news.  The owner is from Memphis and his uncle and teacher is the guys who is Interstate BBQ in Memphis.  The ribs looks a little scary, like they were from a dinosaur, but at least his stuff was really smoked in a smoker low and slow.  They have 2 locations, one in Buckeye and the other is in either Gilbert or Mesa.  Has anybody ever eaten there?

Memphis Best is good!  We have been to the one in Buckeye.  It is right down the street.  They have great beans, good slaw, I have had the pulled pork sandwich and it was very moist and had a good flavor.  The sauce was a good something extra for the pork.  The kids love the fries!!!  We should set a date and make you guys come out to my neck of the woods one weekend!!!   ;)

Great little joint.  Darryl has really put a lot of effort into his 1st restaurant out here in Buckeye.  He doesnt trim up his spares, which I think is awesome.  And I can 100% agree that those are the best fries I have ever had anywhere.

Darryl and his brother, Darryl?
Are they Neelys? They're Interstate's nephew, but it might be from the other direction...Wifey's side?
