Hi all
This is my first post since becoming a member. I have been viewing for a while now and I really like the way you guys treat and help each other. Enough of the chit chat for now.
What I want to know is have any of you eaten at Badass BBQ up in Black Canyon City? I Saw it the other day while I was driving up north. I was thinking of going back up to try it. But that is a long way to drive unless it's good.
Thanks
Charlie

You are talking about Kid's Bad Ass BBQ on the East side of the Freeway I belive.
We are working with him to put on a BBQ Cook-off up there next year. I have eaten there and the food is awesome, however, I didn't eat BBQ as the Burgers looked just too incredible.
One of our great Club Sponsors, Bob and Jeri Lynn with The Wild Bunch Catering Company are based out of there and I've had their food before and it rocks.
Let me know when you are going there sometime and maybe we can meet up and grab some grub and suds... ;)

Well here it is two months later and I finely got back up to Black Canyon City.
I stopped by Bad Ass BBQ for lunch. I had the BBQ combo (pork ribs, beef ribs and brisket with frys) I can say the brisket was tender and moist the frys were grate. The ribs however were over cooked. When I lifted them from the plate all I got was a bone. The meat fell completely off. The sauce was also a disappointment very bland no kick at all. Don't get me wrong I am not one for spicy food. But this was like I said a disappointment.

I believe a lot of restaurants cook their ribs that way on purpose as the majority of "Normal Folks" (and aint a one of you around here normal ;D LOL) believe that ribs should fall off the bone to be good. Its a sad but very true fact.
