The Wife & I are headed over to Famous Dave's Mesa location today. 

John, the owner of the Famous Dave's Restaurants here in town personally e-mailed me and let me know about their new menu items, Tri Tip and a BBQ Chicken Salad as he knows I really like Tri Tip and my wife loves Chicken Salads.

If anyone wants to join us, we plan on going over there about 5 pm tonight..

Tri Tip cooked right is pure heaven. It'll melt in your mouth with an explosion of flavor. You almost don't need a knife. Hope it's here to stay, not a market test.

Took my wife & Daughter over to Famous Dave's yesterday and tried out their new menu items.

They are everything John (the owner of all the local Famous Daves) said they were.

My wife loved the BBQ Chopped Chicken Salad.  It was Huge and the Chicken was very tasty.  Great meal.

I had the new Tri Tip Meal with Fried Catfish, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Corn on the Cobb & Fries.   Great meal.  The Tri Tip had a great smokey flavor without being too overbearing.  It was a bit well done for my preference, but it still tasted fantastic. 

My daughter, well, she had the Ice Cream Brownie Dessert and from what she said, it was AWESOME.

I would highly recommend all of our member head over to Famous Dave's and try out their new menu items.

Other then my own, the best Tri-tip I have had in AZ is at Lucille's restaurant in the Tempe market place. Jared the General Manager recommed this and he was right. Stupendous!

Is Lucille's pretty good?  Drove by there once and heard about it but never tried it.

I went there twice, didn't like it either time.  They were not all that friendly when we went there either.  Haven't been back since..
