The wife and i tried Dickey's @ 73 st & Shea today, Ribs,pulled pork,brisket & chiken all where real good as was the coleslaw. Beans were a little bland. We will go again.

Wish I would have known that, I was right over there and could have met you.  Yes, they have come to town in 2 locations, Shea & Scottsdale and Happy Valley & I-17.

Their menu looks pretty good and they are a national chain, so I'm looking forward to trying them as well.

They have a great online program where you can sign up for specials and discounts.  Right after you sign up, you get a coupon for a free drink.

We will have to do an AZBarbeque night there soon.  Any ideas of what day works for everyone?

Mike I'll have to put your # in my cell phone,that would have been great.I told the owner "Mitch" about our crawls,he said bring it on. Today was their first day and he was packed.I had a free meal because they were supposed to open last Tue. and they weren't ready.

Yes, I went in there last week and tried to talk with the owner, but he was busy.  I talked with one of their corporate people and I sent them a follow up e-mail, so hopefully we will hear back from them soon.

Thom, that's awesome, I love the look of the place and the menu is very straight forward, I think it would be a huge success out there by you.  Let us know if you do get it up and going and we will plan an AZBarbeque group trip out there for your Grand Opening..

Thom, let me know if you want me to bring you some, I am heading out your way Friday to deliver a Diamondplate smoker in Cathedral City.  I can pack it in a cooler for you.

If you do want to come out that weekend, let me know if you want me to get you a room at my Marriott, I can get it for dirt cheap and save you some $$$ there.

Thom i made a second trip to Dickey's,the first one was opening day so everything was fresh. On the second trip the pulled pork was still very good but the sausage and chicken did not taste smoked at all. All of the sides are good but i added sauce to the beans. The first trip was at 1:30 pm and the second at 10:30 am when they opened.

Just stopped by Dickey's today for lunch with my son Kyl.

It was great to finally meet Mitch Bailey the owner of this Restaurant.  He is a really great guy and was very willing to talk with me about the Dickey's experience.  They started getting busy with the Lunch crowd, so I didn't ask for a tour of the place, but I will next time I am back there.

He is very excited to hear about AZBarbeque and we look forward to having them come on as one of our great site sponsors.

They have their Grand Opening scheduled for Friday, July 18th from 11 am - 2 pm.  He asked me to put it out there for the AZBarbeque family and to personally invite all of us to this Grand Opening.  They will have Camel Radio out there and will be having some great give-a-ways including a large flat screen TV.

Any of our members who show up and see me will be entered into another drawing for just our AZBarbeque members and if you wear an AZBarbeque shirt, you will receive 2 additional entries for a total of 3 entries.  So come on out that day, have a great meal and a great experience and let's show the public the support of AZBarbeque at events.  I hope to see you all out there. 

Today I had the 2 meat combo plate with pulled pork and chicken and sides of BBQ Beans and Waffle Fries.  It was all great, I put some of their spicy sauce on it all and really enjoyed it.  The meats were all moist and tasty and the BBQ beans were sweet.  I really enjoy the Dickey's Yellow Cups as well, what a great concept.

I am very bummed, I was planning on being there, but just found out I have to drive to Texas tomorrow to pick up a smoker.
