DDog,  Yea, I have eaten at Honeybears several times, and been to several of their catered events.  Their pulled pork at the resturant is very good as was their beans, but the pulled pork at the catered events I have been at was very dried out, it still tasted good, but I like my meat very moist.

I agree with you on the moist part. I think that too many people rely on their sauce to cover up the dry meat.

We have had Haps, Honey Bears and Waldos cater projects and company functions and hands down Haps has got them beat. Service wise - Waldos on a cater gig do the job well. My personal favorite on ribs is Haps.

Dillons has always been good as far as I'm concerned. Great Baby Backs and awesome beans. I have only eaten at the Thunderbird location though. There is a fairly new place in town that was started back in Wisconsin where I grew up and now has two locations here and is called Famous Daves. I have not eaten at the ones here but they are awesome back home. Also it is the only place in town that cooks with wild hickory. According to Berry Bros, they have it shipped in and they are the only ones in town using it.

Hey Ya'll,

I have eaten at Honet Bears (Central Ave and the Van Buren locations) a few times. Everytime it has been just okay. The pork and the beef were very dry. However, I loved their beans and sweet potato pie.

I think I prefer Big City BBQ in Mesa. However, they are not always consistent.

Famous Dave's won the 2006 Best In The West Nugget Rib Cook-Off in Reno/Sparks, NV over the Labor Day weekend.  How do I know this?  I was there with my nephews!!!  Here are a few pics from the day.

The winner's set-up at the event.

These two shots are from Bone Daddy's out of Midland, Michigan.

This stoic fellow is with Razorback Cookers from Blytheville, Arkansas.

This fine young lad is showing off some smoked sausage for Smokehouse Specialties, a California based team.  Take a look at those peppers and onions on the left.

My nephews and I are smiling in this shot because we've been eating ribs!

We now pay homage to the tasty little critter who makes it all possible.
