Title: Natural turkeys

Fresh, not frozen, up to six percent water may be retained...Safeway select natural, minimally processed turkeys are $1.49/lb. I'll be grabbing one tomorrow, brining it and smoking it soon. I may not do it Thursday. We have one for the oven already...

I'm a firm believer that enhanced birds can be brined.  Cut the salt.....no complaints yet. 

We'll be brining 2 enhanced birds this year.
