Question about these things.  Do folks use them to transport cold meat to the show, or just to hold afterwards?  And by folks, I mean those that use them, not " I once saw a team use a cambro to mix magaritas in"

Both.  Add a bag of ice in a 1/2 pan and it will keep it cold too.

It seems like these are popular, it looks like these are spoken for but if somone wants some more  ebay has a good selection we just bought two for close to that price.

Next to the smoker this tool is 2nd --
Dave is correct we prep our meat full SS pan 1/2 full of ice cover with foil and place meat in Cambro -- 8 to 10 hours later still ice.
Crash is correct once your meat hit's mark -- Cambro up to 4 hours.
A ice chest works OK but no as convenient.
PS this is a pro cater setup -- double top and bottom does not separate and is on oversized wheels

Did you modify those wheels yourself Jim, or did they come standard?

I thought that was Jay...

3/31/10..
I saw this, and didn't know what I meant...Then I realized that with all his cookers I thought Jaybird was the one with all the toys.
Babbling. Must be late...

I just picked up a similar set. Dark brown, on a detached unit with casters and brakes. The 2 units do come apart, but it would be a shame to separate them. I was only looking for a single. Anybody want to work a swap + cash deal?

What are you thinking of swapping for? Maybe some diesel for that tank of yours? Anything in mind?

Maybe you should swap a cambro for the Chow Bella's brisket recipe?  ::) :D
