Here's a recipe for pinto beans from Black's BBQ in Lockhart, TX.
1# dried pinto Beans
1/4 # salt pork, chopped
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp paprika ( I use smoked)
2 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder ( I use Williams Chili Seasoning)
1 fresh jalapeno, chopped ( My own add in)
Place dried beans in crockpot and cover with water. Stir in remaining ingredients and cook on high for 5 hrs or low for 6 to 7 hrs.
