Title: Seafood Gumbo
Post by: Mike (AZBarbeque) on March 15, 2006, 06:50:13 pm
OK, so it isn't BBQ, but it sure was tasty. I have heard of people cooking this on the BBQ, but as of yet, I have not done it.

I cooked up an amazing batch of Cajun Seafood Gumbo tonight and it was outstanding.

The store had the bits of catfish on sale as well as shrimp, so I bought 2 lbs each of those, then purchased 2 boxes of gumbo mix.

I first cooked up the catfish and shrimp with some soy sauce, garlic, jalape

That sounds tasty. Thanks for posting that, I forgot to post gumbo recipe to go with the cornbread and turkey. I am thinking we need another themed get together.....Cajun Night. I do plan on gettin me some crawfish traps and all the needs for a boil. I'll even get the paper lanterns and zydeco!!

Ah yea, a boil....I've only heard of them, but I would gladly like to do a cajun theme's cookout some time.

We typically do themed tailgates for the football games, so we will have to incorporate these into it as well.

Thanks for the suggestion.
