First Fattie on New Cooker

I just put the finishing touches on a Mini WSM-style cooker this morning and fired it up! Here are some pics...

The cooker...I used a clearance table-top grill from Target. Some descriptions suggest using a Smokey Joe, this one worked ok but could use more room for charcoal. The body is a 32 quart tamale steamer from Wally World. Temps are maintained using the iQue stoker.

Finally...the food. Yes I know looking ain't cooking. It is a fattie after all.



Sausage- Basha's fresh pork blend, Filling-chopped onions and green chile pepper, Rub-Meathead's Memphis Dust (recipe from amazingribs.com)

Pulled at 170 degrees after about three hours. Foiled, towelled and put it into a cooler while I went with the family to a movie.



Tomorrow will be chicken.

I have a cooker but never cook. If I want to cook chicken then how much time I keep it in cooker?
