Celebrate St. Patrick's Day! March 15th, 2014 will mark the 5th annual Eggs in the Desert (http://www.bbqislandinc.com/eggs-in-the-desert-ticket-2014.html) here at BBQ Island. This years festival falls on St. Patrick's day weekend. Lucky coincidence! Green Eggs and good times are in the forecast. As in year's past, the festival will showcase 20 amateur BBQ teams, as they turn out their award winning Egg recipes. These local BBQ teams will be smoking, roasting, baking, & grilling up their best Egg dishes for everyone to sample. We hope to have over 25 Eggs burning at once. Attendees will taste the different dishes and vote on their favorite. The BBQ team with the most votes at the end of the day, goes home with a brand new Large Big Green Egg. Second place will win a Sole 3 burner gas grill and third place will win a Yeti Roadie ice chest.
All of the Big Green Eggs used in the event are for sale. These are only cooked on once (seasoned), come assembled and include a nest. The Large Big Green Egg demo units are being sold for $799 (http://www.bbqislandinc.com/eggs-in-the-desert-ticket-2014.html) and the XL Big Green Egg Demo units are being sold for $1,049 (http://www.bbqislandinc.com/eggs-in-the-desert-ticket-2014.html). Much like last years Eggs-cellent event, we will feature multiple Egg Grillings Classes throughout the day. Classes will cover Egg Basics, as well as other technique driven Egg classes. Tickets bought on-line will be at Will Call . Please bring a copy of your receipt. Tickets will cost $20 at the gate.

What's with calling us "Amateur BBQ Teams" Geez, talk about giving us complexes..
Looking forward to this event, I know of at least 4 or 5 BBQ Teams who will be out there.
We would love to have all of our AZBarbeque members join us out at this event. Not only is it a comp, but it's also a great time to meet other AZBarbeque members, meet a lot of our great club advertisers and sponsors and to enjoy lots of great food & fun.
Hope to see everyone out at this event.
