Title: Burnt some corn......not!!
Post by: Quiggs on September 21, 2009, 08:04:57 pm
Did one of my favorite side dishes for burger night Sunday.  Soaked some corn on the cob and threw on the barby.. I do on low heat for 45 minutes or so for biggies.  I also leave the husk as it comes from the store, just place in the sink and soak for 30 minutes.  I have tried the version where you take the silk off then re-wrap husk back on, but it works fine without the hassle and keeps husk nice and tight..  A little butter and salt..mmmmm

One peeled and served one still in burnt looking husk..

Nice and moist looking ear....

Nice looking corn there. I tried that once but it came out dry and seemed undercooked. Maybe I will soak it next time.

for some reason the corn out here is terrible compared to back on the east coast. dry and not so sweet.

i always just peeled the corn.. lathered it with menlted butter, sprinkle with some salt and wrap em up with aluminum foil.

then just cook on the grill at medium to low temps until it turns to a nice yellow and starts to have some sear marks.. usually this is right around the time when the foil starts to blacken

unwrap and serve
