No idea, maybe Mike can shed more light on this subject. I can say that with the major DES cuts that will affect a majority of AZ families and their special needs kids, maybe we should look at that in the near future.

In various different ways. A lot of it depends upon who the sponsor of an event supports. If they don't have a specific Charity that they support, then we look to see if anyone we know is benefiting from the Charity as well as if people involved with the Charity have come out and assisted us at other events in the past.
Our first Charity, Arizona Autism Support, was chosen due to a friend having a child with Autism.
The Turnbow foundation was chosen as they came and helped out at numerous ASU Tailgate events as well as past BBQ events and it's a small, local cause that doesn't get national exposure and national dollars.
Here are just a few of the Charities we have supported here at AZBarbeque over the past few years..

If you have a charity that you think would benefit from an event like ours, have them come out to an event and see what it's like, then volunteer to assist at some of them.
As you know, we are also always looking for sponsors for an event and if they have a charity that they normally support, this is a great way to support it as well as the Arizona BBQ Community.
We do have a few others that we have plans to support with future events, but we are always looking for others. It's all about giving back to the community and supporting worthy causes.

You forgot Fighter Country Partnership and Litchfield Elementary School District and YMCA, which you raise over $53,000....

Thanks Chris for pointing that out, they were our MAJOR beneficary last year as we helped raise over $100K last year alone for charities.

Can we then decide if the sponsor does not have a prefrence that we all have a input on which to use.
