Sounds like a familiar theme. And what the hell was Burfict's problem? Poor sportsmanship for sure.
And Threet....well, 3 INT's and 6 sacks just isnt going to win many games.

in all fairness if ASU thinks they have a chance at winning the rest of their in conference games, then they need to back away from
the bottle.as for coaching, recycling a used once decent college head coach rarely works, maybe they need to move on! IMHO

I'll take that bet.......... you mildcat fans seem to divert from their loss.. to embarrassed to talk about it... so you focus on the devils........ which I think is great.......... let's see they beat washington.. and u guys are talking about tossing their coach........ that's a funny one...... taking the mildcats have the most classless coach in college football......... not much more to say.............

Just to let you know, I am not a "Mild Cats" fan... I'm a college football fan. I like a team when I see them. The day (or last two years) ASU loses recruits to U of A in football, it's time to get a new coach. By the way Washington is horrible!!! Can Erickson and hire Mike Leach.

I gotta tell ya Force, your views on ASU are so unbelievably shortsighted and blindly devoted that it's impossible for you to see reality. I read your posts and just smile, cause it's all one can do. I grew up in the Phx/Tempe area, went to ASU games as a kid w/ grandparents with season tickets. Chose to leave for UA and never looked back. As much as I dislike ASU (and it's A LOT), even I can appreciate when they do some things right, or when they have a decent season. If ASU had a one win season, and UA had a one loss season, you would still try to make the case how ASU got robbed, is better than UA, and should be a ranked team. I got buddies I grew up with who went to ASU, and their hated is as deep and bitter as yours. That being said, I understand, and take your logic (if that's what it's called) at face value. When ASU comes to Tucson and gets an old-fashioned butt whoopin, i'm sure you'll still make the case how it was a fluke, it's just inevitable. Can't do much about it. Doubt Erikson will be there by then, but we'll see. I think ASU fans expect more out of football than the loser program he has compiled. Keep drinkin the kool-aid, it'll make things easier. UA is by no means a national powerhouse, and they are bound to lose a couple more before the season is over with, but a 3 loss season is quite acceptable (too bad you are already there).
Just enjoy the win over Washington (who loss to BYU), because it might be your last Pac-10 win of the season. Jus sayin....

You are right the mildcats are not a national powerhouse and have never had a solid program......... going back to the WAC and now the Pac 10 soon to be the Pac 12.......... trips to bowls and national rankings..... the Mildcats football program has never stood up to the Devils.......... just the facts........no logic in that.....

I don't normally do this, but , really? Really? Never?
In football, UA leads the series 46-36-1. Not only is that not "never stood up", but it could probably be phrased as "historically stood up". And, so that you don't have to look it up, that record is 18-13-1 since the schools joined the Pac.
If you'd like to include the other major sports:
As of January 2010, The University of Arizona leads the all time series in Basketball 139-79.
As of May 2010, in Baseball, The University of Arizona leads the all-time series 233-198-1
I am not going to belittle or badmouth other programs, but I am quite happy with the trajectory our teams are taking, across the board. I am also thrilled with the coaching staffs that the Wildcats have pulled together, poising them for more success in the future.

Again........ football program...... Program is all inclusive...... and the Mildcats PROGRAM doesn't measure up in football.. Mildcats own it in basketball........ Wrestling? that's right, they don't have a team......
And are you sure you want to go there with the Baseball Program? Really? If you do, then I want what u r smoking>........ Not even in the same league....... Good to know u like the direction of the coaching staff..... He has no class........... good direction...........

Sometimes there is no reasonig w/ people, even when you have the numbers out there as proof. Like my 12yo son, there always seem to be an excuse, and when proven wrong he moves to another subject. Devotion is often blind, esp w/ college sports, so I'll move on to another post. We'll have to agree to disagree.

It is ok to be arrogant when you are right......... if you are able to look past the record in baseball which u did bring up... must be blind as u put it....... u would see with corrective lenses regarding college world championships, trips to world series, conference championships, overall school records with win-loss, number one rankings and numbers of players placed into the pros... well then you clearly haven't looked at reason and clearly aren't right.. so that leaves just one thing ... and a 12 year old could figure what that is.........

First of all, I never mentioned baseball, I was merely speaking of athletic competitions (sorry guys, guess i'm still a little bitter from the strike of 94' :() but now that you mention it.......you mind gettin us the numbers for all that?

Force is correct (boy it hurts to say that). ASU has been to, and has won, more baseball CWS than Arizona. If I recall correctly, it is 22 visits vs 15, and 7 wins vs 5 for UA. I think I am right on the visits, but may be a bit off on the wins.
Be that as it may, UA does lead in the head-to-head series with ASU, as G$ noted.
Just checked, and it is 5 CWS championships for ASU and 3 for UA.
It is interesting to note (I'm not sure why) that ASU has won a lot of national championships in men's and women's archery, and men's, women's, and mixed badminton.

UA-commit Carey looking at ASU
Oro Valley Canyon del Oro senior running back Ka'Deem Carey, who committed last summer to Arizona, recently visited Arizona State, according to the Arizona Daily Star.
Carey, The Republic's Big Schools Player of the Year last season when CDO went 14-0 and won the Class 4A Division I championship, told The Star: "I looked into ASU, went to one of their games. It's just to see what's out there. You never want to feel like you're stuck."
After Carey ran for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns in a victory two weeks ago at Scottsdale Saguaro, Saguaro coach John Sanders called Carey a future "Sunday player."
That's high praise coming from Sanders, who usually saves his superlatives for his own players.
Carey still has an uphill battle academically to qualify for either UA or ASU.
Erickson may have some life if kids continue to come over from the dark side.

I am exactly what is right with ASU. (I only want Erickson gone if we can get a Proven Coach ie Mike Leach, the post game speeches are worth the price of admission) We need non band wagon fans. Fans that don't cheer for the other team when they come to town because their 2nd cousin is from Ohio or Michigan. Satisfied with mediocrity? No, we have had some down years recently but every team does including Nebraska. Anyhow I am heading up the hill right now, and we will settle this with a bare chested wrestling match. ;D On the way I am going to stop and pick up a Texas Longhorns shirt to wear on Saturday.
