ASU vs. Stanford

I figured I would start this thread since I'm sure Sun Devils have just overlooked it. After all, they sure were putting up posts pre-Stanford. Mark was boasting a ranking barely inside the 25. Can you give me that link again? After all, you know how to send a link, right?  I looked, can't find them anywhere.

Seriously, it was BRUTAL. Even the announcer was criticizing Stanford for not just stepping on the gas against an inferior opponent. It should've been 60-7, but Stanford backups were coming in at the beginning of the 4th quarter to give them playing time. Credit to ASU, they never gave up. Beat up, outplayed by better and smarter athletes, they kept fighting. It just seemed that Stanford had their way anyway they liked. ASU was never supposed to challenge Stanford, not even come close. Not a shocker. Not sure UA would've done much better. That's a real good team.

Guess Stanford didn't fear the fork. They just kind of giggled at the size of it.

Okay Mark and "Force" (or is it "The Force", "Mr. Force",  'Mrs. Force", or "Feel the Force"), you can post here on the game if you want.

Let me be one of the first to give it to Stanford,  new they were a good team but man did they hand it to ASU. Kelly looked confused against Stanfords defense, ASU got nothing going.

Out of all honesty,I don't necessarily think that the Cats would do any better. That's a really really good team. The score just doesn't do it justice. Stanford took the 4th quarter off. ASU scored points on scrubs. Stanford can flat out play.

I guess that is why they are ranked #5 in the country and UA and ASU aren't even ranked in the top 25.

I give Stanford credit for not piling on the points and giving the 2nd string a chance to play. No sense emabarrasing ASU any more than what they did. It was obvious that ASU was out coached and out played. Hopefully they can get it together and bounce back this Saturday.

A home win beating SC would help them get back in top 25

It sure would, but I'm not quite sure how serious the polls take USC.I think they just barely escaped Utah State last weekend.I don't think ASU is sitting that far out of the ranking now.

New!
USC possibly has the worst coach in the PAC-12 in Lane Kiffin.  They have a ton of talent, yet their offense is offensive, to say the least.  They do have a great defense, which keeps them in games.  But if the offense keeps stinking up the field like it has been doing, ASU will win pretty handily.

Need to edit this----------------Boy, was I wrong about USC having a great defense!! LOL!  But I see I was right about Kiffin being a really bad coach, getting fired  less than halfway into the season.
