Title: ASU a College Football Playoff team?
Post by: Mark on August 27, 2015, 08:41:07 am
Kirk Herbstreit has ASU winning the PAC-12 and being a final four playoff team.  >:D From his lips to God's sportsbook. Scooby Wright gets a couple of deserving nods, along with mentions for Bercovici and DJ Foster.

LOL!  Toad Graham really had you scum devil fans drinking the kool aid, didn't he?

Contending for the NC?.......................Nope

Winning the PAC-12?.............................Highly unlikely

Berco Heisman candidate?  ROTFLMMFAO.  Even in contention for the Heisman?.............................Under 5 yards per attempt will not get any looks.

But---------------good to see that sun devil fans hopes were extinguished right off the bat, instead of getting a few wins and letting them get their hopes way up, before being dashed against the rocks.

Ouch losing to unranked aTm. I had a bad feeling that everyone picked against them and the line was +3 for ASU. Usually home is worth 4 points

It was embarrassing. I wouldn't want to be one of the players in that locker room after the game. Not a good week to be a Sun Devil. I even felt bad when Scoobie got hurt. If only we had opened the season against a pushover like UTSA.

And I saw that Toad Graham STILL won't give the other team any credit at all.  He never does.  Once again, in his post game interview, he said "we beat ourselves".  That guy is scum.

If only...............................I guess that is going to be ASsU's mantra all this year and every year. :D

So I turned on the TV last night and saw with 7 min left in the game, ASU and CAL POLY were tied up at 21. ASU pulled it out, but if Graham doesn't get it together ASwho is gonna get killed in Pac12 play. ASU was favored by 36+ in Vegas. Miscues and bad timed penalties were killing them. Very few people honestly expected them to beat A&M, but this should have been a cake walk.

Careful what you wish for, Mark.  ASsU opens against UTSA next year.

I hear the Wildcats are considering switching to a minstrel show.

Ok, so a touted probably playoff team,  winner of the PAC-12, likely Heisman candidate, and Toad Graham's proclaimed "best team I have had at ASU" and "our goal is the national championship", is now 4-4 overall, and 2-3 in conference.   :D :D :D :D :D

If that really IS Graham's best team at ASU, y'all better fire him, because it must be the coaching.

I readily acknowledge that UA isn't anything to write home about either.  But at least RichRod didn't go bragging about how good his team would be.

True. He can't even decide who his starting QB is. If I were AnuS, I would say this stinks.

ASU is a bad team....Uofa is a bad, BAD team. Both programs going in reverse. Graham's actions do tend to bring more critisim on him though.

Is it Basketball season yet?

We are actually looking forward to basketball season here, too. Not that the Sun Devils will necessarily be good, but Hurley is creating far more excitement than the last coach. But then, so would a head of cabbage.

Your last basketball coach was so unimpressive, that I had to Google who it was -- I had completely forgotten his name.

Your basketball team will probably be somewhat better this year.  Maybe make it into the midpoint of the PAC-12, say # 6 or #7.

I'm beginning to think ASU's football team is also bad bad, not just bad.    Gonna be a struggle for both teams to become bowl eligible.

Both teams are really embarrassing themselves this year.  But ASU even more so, with Graham's claiming they were ready to compete for the NC.  He even had that hack, Herbstreet, drinking his Kool Aid.  At least RichRod wasn't saying how great his team would be.
