Hey all, once again, AZBarbeque is teaming up with SMA to provide food for their annual fund raising event.
We have always had a great turnout and support from our members and hope to do so once again this year.
We need volunteers to help with us feeding this great group out at this event. Appetizers, Main Courses, Sides, Desserts, Plates, Napkins, Plastic ware, Set up, tear down, serving, cooking, etc. Any help you could provide would be great.
Here are the details:

Cure SMA is dedicated to the treatment and cure of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) - a disease that takes away a person's ability to walk, eat, or breathe. 8 million Americans carry the gene that causes SMA, and it is the number one genetic cause of death for infants.
Since 1984, we've directed and invested in comprehensive research that has shaped the scientific community's understanding of SMA. We are currently on the verge of breakthroughs in treatment that will strengthen our children's bodies, extend life, and lead to a cure.
We have deep expertise in every aspect of SMA - from the day-to-day realities to the nuances of care options - and until we have a cure, we'll do everything we can to support children and families affected by the disease.
Learn more about how you can help us reach a treatment and cure at www.cureSMA.org.

For all you newbies who want to meet and help out the AZ Barbeque gang, this is the perfect opportunity for a great cause. I can honestly say that the FSMA walk is one of the best "feel good" times you'll have all year and a good life lesson for your family, too. Join us!

This event is coming up quickly.
We still need help with it. Please let us know if you are able to join us and help out.
If everyone does a little, it's not overbearing for anyone.
Hope to see lots of you there, it's a great event and a great way to give back & be involved.
Thanks..

You know we are in for this great event. Like Mark said, this is a great event for the newbies to participate in. It's a lot of fun and for a great cause.

Hey all, we are less than a month away from this annual event and don't have many sign up and volunteers.
Please let us know if you are able to help out. I know it's the same day as the BBQ Island Turkey Fest, so if you are planning to go to that, but still want to help out, you can.
You can still cook the meat & drop it off on your way to BBQ Island or if you just want to help out by buying the meat, we can smoke it up for you.
Let us know.
Thanks...

Hey all, we are just a few weeks away from this event and we don't have a lot of sign ups.

Hey all, I just heard from Mike Pitt over at Texas BBQ House.
He has 5 Briskets he is willing to donate, but we just need to have someone pick them up on Saturday between 7 -8 am.
Can anyone help out with this? Please advise.
-
If anyone can't make it to this great event, but still wants to help out, I have plenty of room in my smoker. Send me a message and let me know what you want to donate and I'll cook it for you. I will make sure the folks know you donated it.

Awesome, Thanks Bob. Appreciate that. Hopefully we can get that smoker of your's full.
-
Did we find anyone to pick up the briskets yet? If not I will do it, not all that far from where I live.. I also have room on my smoker if anyone wants to donate, I would be more then happy to cook and bring for you as long as I have by Friday afternoon.

Rick, no we haven't. If it's close to you and you could do it, that would be great.
I think with the Pork you and Bob are cooking as well as these Briskets, we will be good.
Of course if we still have members who want to donate more Pork to be smoked, both Bob & Rick have room on their smokers, so let them know ASAP.
