Passion for Barbeque
AZ Barbeque and the spirited enthusiasm and passion that Michael Reimann has for promoting and enjoying great American Barbeque here in Phoenix and Arizona is truly commendable. Barbeque is about passion and the celebration of getting together with family and good friends and enjoying each others company all while feasting on smoked meats! AZ Barbeque’s events and competitions are great celebrations that should be attended by everyone who wants to enjoy great BBQ in a fun and festive “good ol’ backyard barbeque” setting. Michael’s passion reminds me of Famous Dave Anderson’s life-long passion of searching all over the country for the best barbeque and celebrating a variety of smoked meats from every barbeque joint he could find. Dave’s passion is almost religious in nature-his understanding of the holy trinity is "Smoke, Meat and Sauce.” Famous Dave’s has of course grown from Dave’s first small restaurant in Hayward, Wisconsin. Famous Dave’s growth and success has come from one thing and one thing only - a passion for doing great BBQ & food and never taking short cuts all while remaining committed to our roots, which is to never stop competing with all the other great pitmasters from around the country. From Fargo, to Cleveland, to Chicago, to Kansas City, to Reno, to the Twin Cities and many other cities, the Famous Dave's national rib cooking team has brought home the bacon and more first place trophies than any other Barbeque organization. Dave's commitment to always being the best is constantly being honed through competitive Rib cook-offs with the top championship pitmasters in the country. These ribfests, which attract hundreds of thousands of BBQ fans, feature hundreds of rib cookers all competing for thousands of dollars in prize monies and braggin' rights of being the "Best of the Best". AZ Barbeque and Michael Reimann’s commitment to organizing and putting on BBQ events and competitions here in Arizona is a valuable asset for Arizona.
